Al Gore Walks the Walk
January 3rd, 2008 by jayb
In a response to criticism of his personal carbon footprint, VP Al Gore has made dramatic reductions in how much energy his Nashville, Tennessee home uses.
In February, a conservative group suggested that Mr. Gore was a hypocrite for living in a house that had very large electric and gas bills.
After the installation of solar panels and a geothermal heating system, Mr. Gore's natural gas usage is down 93% and his electricity is down 10% during a period in which average usage increased 20-30% due to a Nashville heat wave.
