It’s easy.  They are available almost everywhere: hardware stores big and small, Sears, Target, KMart, Walmart.  Ask for CFL light bulbs.  CFL stands for compact fluorescent lightbulb.  At the larger stores, they’ll have CFL’s for bathroom vanities, reflector floods for recessed lighting, reading lights, outdoor flood lights and even candalabra light bulbs.

If you keep an outdoor light on at the end of the day and keep it on until you go to bed, that is a great light to switch to a CFL because of the money and energy you’ll save.
