Thank you for your emails with heads up on interesting articles. Here are several that caught my eye on global warming and the clean technology we need to fight it.




The Detroit News reported last week that, ‘In one of the strongest statements on climate change ever made by a U.S. auto industry executive, Ford Motor Co. CEO Alan Mulally said Monday that global warming is real, manmade and caused in part by auto emissions.’

The Union of Concerned Scientists has a fascinating multimedia tool that shows predicted climate changes for 9 US states.  For example, Illinois summer weather in 23 years will feel like Arkansas today.

Spain has built a 40-story tall solar tower that absorbs sunlight from reflected mirrors and creates electricity for 600,000 people.  Star Trek episode?  Not at all.

A friend of mine forwarded me this article in Wall Street & Technology.  After a doubling of data center electricity usage from 2000 to 2005, Wall Street is joining in the effort to reduce energy use.
