"Bright Idea"

July 5th, 2007 by jayb

Artist Bob Staake has produced a wonderful, iconic illustration for the Independence Day edition of The New Yorker magazine. He calls it “Bright Idea” and I love it.

"Bright Idea".  Double meaning?  Triple meaning?  I lost count.

    Energy Efficient light bulbs
    Liberty
Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses
    The picture itself
